Bologna meeting prepares FIGARO's demonstration year
The annual partners meeting took place from 25 to 27 January 2016 at the Accademia delle Scienze of the University of Bologna. All 17 consortium members attended. It was the last meeting before the final phase of the project, which was due to end in September 2016.
2016 was to be the year of demonstrations. From March, open field days in Denmark, Greece, Israel, Italy, Portugal and Spain would show the platform working on real farms. They were aimed at local growers, agronomic advisers, and the authorities and associations that manage water and energy.
The coordinator, Lior Doron, by then in charge of new product development at Netafim, described the water and energy savings measured during the tests as very good.
