CER opens its “Acqua Campus” research centre
On 28 June 2016, its 57th year of field research, the Consorzio di bonifica per il Canale Emiliano Romagnolo (CER) opened “Acqua Campus” in Mezzolara di Budrio, near Bologna. CER presented it as Italy's first scientific centre dedicated to water in agriculture.
The Italian agricultural press (AgroNotizie) reported on the projects shown at the opening. Among them:
- drone-based multi-sensor work linked to the Irrinet-Irriframe advisory system;
- the FIGARO platform, through which a grower can manage the water given to each crop from a single digital dashboard.
